Our Mission
- We want to do location searching, discovery and sharing better
than is possible anywhere online.
- We want to deliver interesting, unique, and up-to-date
content.
- We want to provide tools that are powerful, but also easy and
enjoyable. Searching is not completed with the presentation of
“search results” but rather when you have utilized the information
you were looking for. Sometimes the goal of a search is something
concrete: a map, a phone number. Sometimes it’s a comparison of
places, or the initiation of a separate, but related search. And
sometimes it’s just an idea: an inspiration for something to do or
somewhere to go. PublicEarth wants to remind you of places you’ve
forgotten and introduce you to places new or unknown. Everywhere
on Earth.
- Our goal is simple: to provide a service that is not just
useful but delightful.
Take control of your PlaceBook at PublicEarth. It rests on top
of a new wiki that will only grow and improve over time. We want to
encourage you to explore and experiment with your PlaceBook, and
then return and notice the changes. PublicEarth offers personalized
place searching, improved by integration with your social graph.
The more you use PublicEarth the better it gets. This is our
mission.
